All of your comments about the Nook versus the Kindle aside...there's only one reason I am a Nook owner instead of a Kindle owner - the fact that Nook supports the library's ePub format whereas the Kindle doesn't. By reading one book every two weeks on average for free from the library as opposed to paying $10 each, that makes my Nook "free" after a year. Sony Reader also supports the library format, but I was not at all impressed with their products.

So far. I'm loving mine. Just got it on Friday, and am just about finished with my first purchased book. I also picked up an 8 gig card and loaded about 150 titles I already had on hand... my only disappointments so far are a) battery life(I fully charged it on Friday night and as of this morning it's down to 45%. And I turned it to airplane mode on Sunday morning.) and b) the lack of a search function in My Documents. clicking through 12 pages of books trying to find the right one is just a tad annoying.

I did find some great wallpapers and screensavers on nook-look.com. Other than that I've just been busy reading.

The battery issue will probably improve over the next few charge cycles. I've heard repeatedly that lithium batteries don't reach their full charging capacity until they've been fully charged several times. I'm only on my third charge and I've had it for three weeks, and each time it has lasted longer.

There's supposed to be an update coming from B&N over the next couple of weeks. Wouldn't it be awesome if they addressed the "My Documents" search feature? Don't know yet, though.

Thanks for the link to the wallpapers. I'm gonna check it out now!

Have had my Nook (WiFi) about a week and love it. My Sony PRS505 finally died (even after replacing the battery). Once I figured out how to use Calibre to copy to ADE then the Nook, I had all my books available again - 346 books. Have had no problems with it, but am still getting used to the button sensitivity for page turning; hate the digital keyboard, but I hate all digital keyboards. Got it connected to my home WiFi - any problems I encountered were due to my security settings. Again - love it!

Hi Karen - Welcome to the Nook world! Calibre is a terrific tool. I use it as a server for all the ereaders in my family. Working on a blog story about it. Stay tuned.
