TOPIC: Your Nook Review
#2116
Re:Your Nook Review 7 Years ago Karma: 0
I wrote up a Nook v Kindle review on my blog:
thishollowearth.wordpress.com/2010/11/22...et-the-battle-begin/
The Nook is mine, the Kindle is my wife's. We're both enjoying our readers, and I think each one matches our personalities.

The rest of the blog is one of those scary Skeptic blogs (in a James Randi/Micheal Shermer sort of way), so don't go clicking around if you don't like that sort of thing.

I am very disappointed with my Nook. I've had many problems with it, such as not being able to download books I've bought, archiving items that I can't retrieve again, having to re-register and losing all my pictures and documents, to name a few. Right now I'm on with B&N; it's been 40 minutes, and still no results!!!

I wrote a review here.

excerpt:
It wasn't easy. Many reviews of the NOOKcolor were littered with what was wrong with it: LCD screen, batttery life, etc. I am not going to debunk what was written in other reviews. I can't, they are true. What I am going to do is explain why I don't care about what they said was bad.

Great review and I think based on the sales a lot of people agree with you.

Everyone thinks there is a perfect device everyone should choose, the real deal is everyone is different and the variety and capabilities of the readers out there fits that.

Very disappointed. Bought a Nook for my daughter fro Christmas and now she's trying to use the gift certificate -- except you can't use a gift certificate without a credit card on file. Call me crazy, but I'm not going to put my credit card on file for my daughter to use as she wishes. This can't be an uncommon issue. She's able to use gift card on iTunes without a credit card.

Very, very disappointed.

I am very disappointed in my Nook (3G & Wi-Fi). It worked fine for about 3 months now I cannot get on the internet to shop for books. What good is a Nook w/o books? Everytime I try to access (shop) I get a message indicating it can't connect. Doesn't matter where I am - at home, B&N, the mall, etc. I have seen other posts similar to this. What gives B&N? Did you sell us faulty goods or are you still trying to get the bugs out? Not a Happy Camper. Guess I will go back to regular books. At least I can get them when I want them.
