dimmable light for Nook? 7 Years, 4 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi!

I haven't gotten a light for my Nook yet and would love to hear what people recommend. Also, a dimmable light would be fantastic so I'm not stuck with a super bright LED in an otherwise dark room and a wife that's trying to sleep next to me. Has anyone heard of a light that fits the Nook and is dimmable?

cheers

I'm about to buy one too and wondered the same thing. I don't want to blast the screen in low-light at bedtime.

I have the M-Edge eLuminator2 light and really like it.
eLuminator2 Review
It does not dim but has a three position switch for low - off - high.
I use it on high when I read at night but low setting would work nicely in total darkness.
Note: this light is designed to work with the M-Edge cases that have a little pocket sewn in to hold the light. It has no clip to attach to the nook itself.

That's great to know and might be good enough. Too bad I haven't gotten a case yet though

I found a sylvania dot-it light and mounted it to the headboard of our bed. you can run 1, 2, or 3 LEDs. I only use one. It uses 3 easy to find "AAA" batteries.

Dot it

I also got an LED clip-on book lamp at Walmart for about $8.00. This uses CR2016 batteries (2). I would say it is dimable because it gets dimmer every night. It is a very uneven light source. I found batteries online for about 30cents each.

Darn! I got my batteries and they shipped the wrong ones. I already sent them back. I'm going to talk to them before I reorder.
