Make-It-Yourself Nook Cover 2 Years, 3 Months ago Karma: 1
Hello all,

I got my nook on Friday and made a cover for it on saturday. I've posted a tutorial up here to show you how to make your own cover. My total out of pocket expense was about $4 for epoxy.

Check it out and let me know what you think.

Nice. That is quite the ingenious setup you have there. Hopefully you are better at taking the nook out of its clip thing. It took me a couple minutes just to make sure I was doing it right and not breaking it ha ha. With how you have the setup it doesn't look like you will be needing to remove it much. Thanks for posting it. I am sure some of us will find the tutorial quite handy.

Actually, popping the nook in and out of the acrylic clip is not that difficult... It IS tight, but that's the point ya know. I find that by just lifting up on the top tabs the nook comes out easily enough.

Thanks for your feedback!

I just made a new cover - out of an old hardback.

I traced the nook shape and cut it out with an x-acto knife. I also cut tabs for the right side page buttons, power button and power supply & headphone jack.

I have pictures, but my camera is being rather uncooperative.
