There's this website called "How to hollow out a book in 80 steps" Most of the steps are just jokes, but it provides an excellent guide for how to make a "nook-book". I picked up a few old hardcovers from my library's discard pile for $.25 each and my friends are amazed at my "arts & crafts" skills! Add a few bucks for Elmers Glue and an X-Acto blade. And maybe a ruler. That's it.

I recently purchased a Nook Color, and picked up a plain gray cover for it at the local B&N. After a while, I decided that the cover (which was wrapped in bookbinder's cloth) was a little too plain, so I decided to make a stencil and paint it up a bit w/ some acrylic paint and matte varnish. Here's what it looks like today:

Using a Tardis to decorate a nook makes sense - the nook is bigger on the inside than on the outside!

Reliable way to Root Nook Simple Touch
I recently dusted off the Nook Simple Touch and decided to try some of the root options, mostly to get the Kindle app working. I was amazed at the volume of YouTube videos and XDA Forum threads as well as root options
