I rooted my NOOKcolor, yesterday. The screen timeout I believe was working.

Today...
I got rid of softkeys and replaced it with ADW.Launcher.
I installed HomeSwitcher to remap the "n" key to that launcher.
I use Advanced Task Killer to kill apps that I am not using.
I am using a live wallpaper.

Sometime during my playing today my screen decided to stop timing out and going blank.
Unless it is set above 20 minutes anyway.

I checked the device setting and it reads 2 minutes.

Any clues?

I am going to switch off the animated paper to see if that was it. I will report back.

Switching from a live wallpaper did not fix it.

No issues after rooting, while a pain the fastest fix is probably reset and root. could be an app but sounds like u have that covered

Well, I am happy to report it fixed itself.
And it was not a reboot that fixed it....or at least not one reboot.

After waking yesterday, I booted it up fresh only to see it stay on. Even with a lock screen.
I turned it off and went to work.

At work I turned it on again. Played with the normal NOOK apps. It started working.
I have turned it off and on several times since then and the screen now times out as expected.

I think I must have hit the magical number of reboots.
