Ok, I got it working. Then it did the same thing again. I don't know if it had to do with a side load from adobe digital editions that did it or something else. I downloaded a new version of the book and did a fresh side load. It was a little wonky. I set nooklauncher as my default launcher and now it seems to be working just fine. I really like it.

mybooks rocks! The latest version shows ALL your books in one list AND shows them by most recent read - this fits how I use my nook perfectly.

Mark - did you update the app individually or did you just re-download the 1.2 bravo_update file and re-install it? I've rooted my nook, but didn't fool around with the debug bridge etc to allow trook to update apps, and I'm really just interested in using the new apps like mybooks, and am trying to figure out the easiest way to keep the apps up to date. Thanks, Terry

Terry, go into trook and go to the nookdevs icon. You can update apps there. You want the 0.5 version I think which is newer than what's in the nookdev firmware install. Cool app.

Thanks Joe - broke down and installed the SDK and followed the howto to enable app updating directly from the nook. Worked great and was pretty easy. I now have the latest version!

I don't know that I want to mess around with the nook...if so many people are doing this and it can be done you would think that B&N would add these apps to the Nook themselves. I am worried as I just bought it, and I think it will nullify my warrenty if I do that...right now I can't see any reason to hack into it. I like the ebooks I can get on B&N, and I can download library ebooks. The only thing I dislike about it (the nook) is that I can't download wma audiobooks onto it. Or I haven't figured out how to do it anyway....
