Hubby getting Nook too - How do we share ebooks? 4 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 0
I know I've seen at least one person post that their spouse got a nook and they were able to share their ebooks. My hubby is getting one in a couple weeks and I'm trying to educate myself on how it's all going to work.

We can share our elibraries, right? How does B&N know that we are the same account and yet differentiate between which nook is which? If he buys a book on B&N will it automatically load to both of ours?

I'd love to hear from anyone who has had experience with sharing a Nook account. (i.e. husband/wife each have one) Any info or tips or details on what to expect.

I have good news for you..

My wife and I both have them, register with the same ACCOUNT on B&N and you share ALL your eBooks.

One problem with that can be if you read at the same time it seems to sync last read position. I'd guess notes/etc may be shared.

I also use ADE for kobobooks, both nooks are authorized and share content.

does it keep both your bookmarks then? like you're both reading the same book but at different points. you bookmark one page, she bookmarks another page, and next time you guys sync, her bookmark and your bookmark will show up on your nook and also on her nook? I don't mind the notes, etc at all, just don't want to lose my place.

What about archived books? Can one person have something archived and the other not?

I thought I remembered you mentioning sharing the account with your wife. Thanks for the info!

I'm not sure... I think everything is synced because when I registered my wife's nook it had my bookmarks.

Since we are in airplane mode all the time (we live in low cell signal area and sucks battery 2x as bad) it doesn't have much opportunity to sync I'll test it out; I'm curious!
