TOPIC: Downloading Books Issue

Downloading Books Issue 4 Years, 9 Months ago Karma: 0
I am having an issue getting books onto my nook.

The problem started when I tried a few days ago to download some books directly onto the nook through the nooks store feature. They showed up in my library, but wouldn't download. I found out that that was because I am overseas and so it does not work.

I eventually got to a computer to buy the books right through bn.com, and downloaded them into the eReader program, but I cannot for the life of me get the books onto my Nook!
I used the device file share option, and looked like it all worked, but on my nook, I still only have the non-downloadable versions of the books.

Is there anyone who might be able to help me figure out how to get these books of my computer and onto my Nook?

Thanks,
Lizabetn

I had the same issue with one book. There is a process called "side loading" (I think that's what it's called) which is essentially a file transfer from a computer to the nook. The book ends up in your documents and not your ebooks but that ultimately is no difference. I wish I could outline the steps for you right now but sometimes my tech savvy fails me. I was walked through by a great customer/tech service rep and I hear that a lot of people have had good experiences with them as well.

Good Luck. I'll be interested to hear how you make out.

Thank YOU for asking that! I am able to download books to my computer from Barnes&Noble (after much high drama), but I cant seem to get it on my Nook. I can read them on my computer via the ereader but not on my Nook.... please say you have an answer.
