I'm sure you don't have any word highlighted after all of the things you have already tried. There have been problems with that.
Some people have said that recharging seemed to help.

did a battery recycle and even that didn't fix anything.

i've hard resetted at least a dozen times. just to clarify, hard resetting is holding the power button till it reboots and then pressing the 2 bottom side buttons right?

i'm seriously thinking of putting it in the blender now!
