How to get deleted eBook back 4 Years, 3 Months ago Karma: 0
I think I already know the answer to this but I'm hoping I'm wrong. One of my eBooks I purchased was deleted mistakenly but luckily I saved it on my hard drive. I am using ADE and tried using it to "put" the deleted eBook back onto my nook but it says it can't as my nook is not authorized for that book. I was going to try to copy/paste it into the "my documents" folder of my nook but ever since isntalling ADE, the "my documents folder" is missing now. I thought about doing the "hard restart" for my nook to roll it back and reinstall everything except ADE and try to copy/paste the ebook into the "my documents" folder and hope it works. Would it be easier to call and see if B&N will see that I purchased the book and "undelete" it for me or just do the "hard restart" and start from scratch hoping I can copy/paste it into my documents......or (as I'm thinking the case is due to the DRM of the ebook file) am I just SOL and have to re-purchase the book?

Why are you using ADE for B&N books on your nook? If you have wifi on your nook you can just check for new B&N content. Unless you deleted it on the B&N website you have no worries. If you deleted it from your online B&N library your only hope is to plead with B&N.

I should probably clarify.....I wasn't using ADE to put my intial B&N eBook purchases on my nook. It was on my nook but unfortunately it was deleted off my B&N account so when I turned my nook on with the wi-fi on, it updated itself and deleted the book off my nook as well. All the eBooks I've bought, I've downloaded as well as they have that green button you press that says download and saved them. When it was deleted from my nook/account, I was hoping I could simply move that file onto my nook and get the book back but that apparently isn't the case.

My wife and I purchased the nooks and share the account (she was deleting a bunch of free books she had gotten and didn't realize she deletd one of the books I bought). We were told that you could download the books and install them onto the nook without using wi-fi as she is leaving for Iraq and will not have wi-fi to download her eBook purchases that way. I'm sure this part belongs on a seperate thread but apparently none of the B&N eBook purchases we have done and downloaded onto the hard drive can be simply copied and pasted from the computer to the nook. I'm sure there is a way as we were assured by the young lady selling the nooks to us that it could be done, I just need to find the discussion on here where they talk a noob like me through the process. But (at least for this immediate case) from what I'm seeing, unless it's on my online B&N account, I may not be able to access that file I downloaded if it's been deleted from my online account and will have to call B&N to see if they will credit it back to me.
