I just got my nookcolor and my WiFi is listed as remembered, secured with WEP but it will not connect. I am technology challeged .. Please help me ..

Try forgetting the connection. You may need the first update for the device for wifi.

I tried forgetting the connection and it still would not connect. How do I get the first update for the device for wifi? Very, very technology challenged here ..

I am having the same problem. I have spent hours with Skybeam, since I am on a wireless connection, using a tower several miles from our home. Searched for help online...I am the Frieda Flintstone of technology. What do we do with this inability to connect to WiFi?

I would download the update on your PC and then load it to the nook. B&N has complete instructions on their website here:

Look under "Get version 1.0.1" Today.

Wireless isn't quite right until you get that update.

I found the update but now I am stuck again. I haven't even gotten to the registration screen becuase the nook is stuck on the select a wireless network screen. Can I use someone else's WiFi to register and then do the download?
