It has to be in MP3 format, so you may have to convert it, but then you just drag it over to the 'my music' folder like any other item.

Karma is correct, your files do have to be readable by the NC. I tried a couple of ways, first and most direct is to simply go into your music directory (on your PC) within your "My Music" file. Click on the ITunes file, then ITunes music, and finally the Music file. Here you will see all your music in file directories by Artist.

Your Nook Color (NC) has to be connected to your PC, and you have to open your designated music file (recommend using your flash storage) and then simply drag and drop music in artist directories from your PC to your NC.

Some will work, some will not due to DRM protection (copy write protection).

The easiest way, is to simply purchase a program that will sync your ITunes songs to you NC. The best (free) Android App that I've found to do this with is called, "Double Twist" which you can use with your USB cable, or you can pay extra for "AirSync" which is an add on and will allow you to sync with ITunes wireless.

Good Luck!

Save the mp3 files on your desktop first, then plug your nook to your PC using the USB cable. Once your computer recognizes the nook drive, open it. Then drag and drop the mp3 files on My Music folder.
