I just received the nookcolor as a gift, I am trying to use my email on the "email" in apps. I click on it and it asks for email info, i put my info in and click next, then i use POP, it shows me the information, but when I click next it say unable to open connection to server, help please!!!!

Well... So the nook does know the settings for MANY providers like gmail, hotmail, etc. If you aren't on one of those it makes a best guess and shows you the POP server to continue. Unfortunately many internet providers use non-standard ports for their servers and the default the nook suggests may be incorrect.

I'd check with your internet / email provider for the right server names and ports and make sure they match.

So you click on apps after clicking the "n" button. At the top select "app name" for drop down. In the next drop down select the option with 9 squares. To be sure everything is sync'd up click the refresh arrow button at bottom left. You should see an email icon. This is a built-in app you can't remove so should be there.
