TOPIC: Adding Music to 1st Edition Nook

Adding Music to 1st Edition Nook 4 Years, 11 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi, I recently purchased a 1st Edition Nook from ebay to see if I liked it better than hardback books. I am running out of room for books so Ithought I'd try the Nook. After being in the doghouse for spending $167 on books the first two weeks...yikes, how easy is it to buy a book! My problem is that when I check out a digital book from the public library I can get it into the ereader but cannot figure out how to put it on my nook, as well as not being able to load MVP files onto my Nook. As far as the music, I can see it in a file under Nook - Music, but it doesn't appear on my actual Nook. Help!! I really love my 1st Edition, but would love it more with music!! Too bad they only put two games, both of which I cannot play (mathmatically challenged and don't play chess). Thanks to anyone who can help this old blonde...I still say they need a Nook for Dummies!!!

Look at the ADE Tutorial under our Tutorials and Help menu for a video to help on library books. Should answer your questions.

You say MVP files to you mean MP3? It can't be MP4 WMV or other audio formats, the original nook only understands mp3 format.

Reliable way to Root Nook Simple Touch
I recently dusted off the Nook Simple Touch and decided to try some of the root options, mostly to get the Kindle app working. I was amazed at the volume of YouTube videos and XDA Forum threads as well as root options
