TOPIC: Add files from regular SD card to Nook HD

Add files from regular SD card to Nook HD 4 Years, 9 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi, I know you can put a micro SD card in the Nook HD to retrieve jpeg or other files. Is there a way to get jpeg files from a regular SD card onto the Nook HD without going through a computer? If I'm on the road I wouldn't have accesss to a computer, and my camera card is regular size SD. I wondered if you attachéd the proprietary usb cord to a card reader via an adapter of some sort, if the nook would recognize the card reader and be able to transfer the files? Or maybe some other method I'm not thinking of? thanks.

I think you are out of luck ... if you wanted to do this in the future you might consider getting a microSD card so that you put it in an adapter for your camera but then also put in the nook.

you should be able to go to my files section of the library and click on the SD card tab.

Unfortunately, my camera only takes a regular SD card. I can put the regular sd card in an adapter, but unless the tablet will recognize the adapter, there's no way of reading/transferring the files. The camera does have av out and hdmi connection, but I don't know if the Nook would read the files from those connections either.

The adapter is basically a regular SD card that you slide a microSD card into - should work perfectly fine. When you want to use with Nook just take out the SD card, slide the microSD out of it, and put it into the Nook. Many MicroSD cards at Best Buy or Amazon come with a full sized SD adapter card.

The HDMI and AV are just for video signals, would be no help.

Great - I didn't realize that! so, I can put the adapter SD card (with micro sd card in it) into my camera, and the jpegs should go to the micro card, which the nook should be able to read. Thanks for your help!
